Black Teas
Most everyone knows about the health benefits of green tea, but black tea has health benefits as well. It is a powerful source of anti-oxidants that can slow down the aging process and help prevent a wide variety of diseases. Medical research suggests that black tea can assist in lowering cholesterol and regulating blood sugar. Much lower in caffeine than coffee, black tea gently stimulates the heart and circulatory system. By keeping blood vessels soft and lowering blood pressure, black tea can help prevent heart disease and strokes.

Ceylon (Sri Lanka) Organic & Fair Trade
Ceylon is an understated, flavorful, elegant tea with a flowery and sweetish aroma. It often has a coppery-red color and is wonderful with milk, cream, and/or sugar. You’ll often hear the term “brisk” when people talk about Ceylon teas. This refers to the lively taste of the tea. The tea industry still refers to Sri Lanka it by its colonial name, Ceylon.
English Breakfast (India) Organic & Fair Trade Our blend for breakfast is full-bodied and can stand up to a hearty breakfast. English Breakfast blend is a rich and flavorful blend of broken Ceylon and Assam teas. A great classic that goes great with milk, cream and/or sugar.
Lapsang Souchong (China) Organic A classic Chinese black tea flavored with the smoke from pinewood. Some compare the smoky notes to a single malt Scotch. It’s fantastic with just a little honey.
Green Teas
Green teas have been in the news for years. They contain a high level of antioxidants and polyphenols that many claim to have health benefits. More and more studies have been done that do support these claims. Green teas come from the same plant as black teas, but they are just processed less. They are a bit lower in caffeine than black teas making them a fine choice for afternoons.
Earl Grey Green (China) Organic
The familiar and fragrant aroma of bergamot makes Earl Grey one of the most popular teas in the world. Now it is available in green tea! Bergamot is a Chinese citrus that has a distinctive, floral aroma and taste.
Jasmine (China) Organic & Fair Trade A perfectly balanced aromatic green. The jasmine flowers are infused into the green tea and leave their delicate, sweet flavor in the tea. Please only steep your green tea 1-2 minutes. It will yield multiple infusions.
Herbal Teas
Herbal teas are sometimes called tisanes. Herbals are made from fresh or dried flowers, leaves, seeds or roots. Since they do not contain any tea leaves you can steep them indefinitely and they will not get bitter. They are often enjoyed in the evening because they are stimulant free. All of them are caffeine free except Yerba Mate which does contain caffeine.
Chamomile (Egypt) Organic & Fair Trade
A favorite tea anytime you want to relax. Chamomile has a sweet flavor and aroma and very soothing.
Peppermint (USA) Organic & Fair Trade
Bold and very refreshing. Some people like to sip when their tummy is a little upset.
Raspberry Fruit (Germany) Organic
Europeans have been drinking fruit melanges much longer than people in the United States. These fruit blends consist of pieces of dried fruit and natural flavoring. They do not contain actual tea leaves, so they are naturally caffeine-free. They are wonderful hot or cold. You can add soda to them too!
Rooibos (South Africa) Organic & Fair Trade
Made from the South African "red bush", Rooibos is a caffeine-free. It is rich in essential minerals. As a popular national beverage, it is enjoyed in South Africa throughout the day, both hot and chilled. Rooibos has a characteristically mild and aromatic flavor and a soft, slightly citric sweetness. Unlike black tea, it is very low in tannins so it cannot turn bitter. Rooibos has a full-bodied taste and a mild aroma.
Spearmint (USA) Organic & Fair Trade
Light and refreshing and a bit milder than peppermint. Great hot or cold.
Yerba Mate (Argentina) Organic
This is the only time an herbal is not caffeine free. So if you are sensitive to caffeine, or don't want any stimulants, don't go further. Often called just mate (ma'-tay), this is an invigorating, caffeine bearing herbal infusion. Mate is the only herb tea which, like green and black tea, contains the stimulants caffeine and theobromine.
Decaf
Herbals are naturally caffeine free and another option for those watching their caffeine.
